Transfer Window needs: Western Conference update with two weeks left
Will the Sounders and Quakes do what's necessary to pull out of their death spirals? Will Dallas get their 10? And lots of other questions (I hate writing subheds)
There’s less than two weeks left in the transfer window. Lots of work has been done since we took a look at the start of the window, about a month ago, so now feels like a good time to jump back in and figure out what’s left.

The official closing date is September 2, which is just after the closing date for most of Europe’s biggest leagues.

Austin FC
- Biggest move so far: Got up to $2.35 million GAM from Montréal for Dani Pereira
- Biggest Need: Sell Myrto Uzuni.
- Roster model: DP model
- Premium Slots Available: One, after loaning out Nicolás Dubersarsky.
I didn't love the idea of trading Pereira, who I think is one of the most talented central midfielders in the league (and was never properly developed), but with central midfield seeming to be earmarked for Owen Wolff (please get healthy) and, hopefully, Ervin Torres, I get it.
The big hope now is that Myrto Uzuni keeps scoring so they can recoup some of that outlay by selling him in the next couple of weeks. The job really hasn't changed since a month ago: just keep unwinding those awful contracts Rodo Borrell handed out.
